Amendments to Treaty and Notesreplaced Convention of 23 May 1939 Terminated by Convention of 11 July 1952. Under an Agreement between the UN and the UPU of 4 July 1947, annexed to the Convention, the UPU became a UN Specialized Agency (ATS 1949 No. 8 p. 33). Entry into force 1 July 1948. This was amended by a Supplementary Agreement of 13-27 July 1949 regarding laissez-passer which entered into force 22 October 1949 (UKTS 1954 No. 28 (Cmd. 9109) p. 111).
